Substrate: MDF panel. Composition - Height: 11.5" - Width: 13.5" - Dated: 2006
Overall Dimensions: Height: 15.75" Width: 17.75" Depth: 2.375"
The frame is constructed using pine, and veneered with tiger and burled maple, with inset mouldings of solid walnut and purpleheart, and some antiqued silverleaf trim on the innermost border.
The panel is art quality MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard).
As is my habit, as much of the wood as possible is from salvage. The veneers are from my permanent stock of vintage veneers. All wood surfaces except the painting itself, are finished with orange shellac, using the French Polishing method, then buffed flat with fine steel wool.
