Applying curly maple and rosewood veneers to the pine foundation of the frame...




Applying herringbone inlays and rosewood venneer to the four internal spacers, that lock the PlexiGlas in place...

Applying aluminum leaf to the edges of the panel into which the painting will be placed. In the background, the four sticks that will hold the painting in place.

All wood surfaces have 6 coats of orange shellac, topped off with a layer of French Polish.
The painting is mounted in its panel, and the panel is mounted into the walnut matt-board.
Inside the frame, the PlexiGlas is in place, and the spacers are in place.




The finished painting and frame, everything tacked in place, with a hanging wire attached, hanging on the wall.
